BrazilTradeNet  respects your privacy! Our Privacy Policy covers how our users’ personal information is collected and treated. Since this policy shall be modified at any time, we recommend users to consult it periodically.


1. Information collection

BrazilTradeNet, through its web site www.braziltradenet.gov.br or www.braziltradenet.com, collects information about its users. In the registration process, for example, the user provides BrazilTradeNet with personal data, such as his name, postal address, e-mail and other personal and company information required in the registration form.


2. Use of collected information

BrazilTradeNet collects information for the purpose of: (a) promoting, in Brazil and abroad, the Brazilian user’s interest in exporting his products and/or attracting foreign investment; (b) promoting, in Brazil, the non-Brazilian user’s interest in importing Brazilian products and/or investing in Brazil; (c) customizing the site and its services to the users; (d) keeping users informed about their interests. We can also use cookies, which help us assessing our users navigation. "Cookie" is an identifier that we store in the computer of our user and that enables us to recognize more easily the user that returns to our site, helping us adjust the site and its services to the user’s necessity. This information is also used to customize advertising, improving communication between advertisers and customers, since the advertiser becomes able to promote products designed for the target public of his company. We stress that advertisers never have access to the user’s personal information, which are maintained secret under BrazilTradeNet’s protection. Company information is also used by BrazilTradeNet for the purpose of researches or statistical analysis, which will allow us to identify the number of companies from each region, from each sector etc. Information can also be used to announce new products, services etc. to our users, through e-mail, in which users may choose to stop receiving such information.


3. Access to BTN's database

Based on its “Privacy Policy”, BrazilTradeNet does not allow third parties to access its database, except when an express legal or judicial determination is issued for that purpose or when a commercial transaction is carried out between a user and client companies and/or partners of BTN.


4. Statistics dissemination

BrazilTradeNet reserves the right to disseminate statistical information about its users. This information will be used in order to describe our services to clients and to promote the range of our products and services.


5. Consulting, altering and/or excluding supplied information

Using the "registration update" section, the user, possessing a password, will be able to access his data and, thus, consult, alter and/or exclude information.


6. Information protection

BrazilTradeNet employs state-of-the-art and extremely reliable mechanisms to store the information supplied by its users.


7. Prevention of non-authorized changes in user information

The registered user will not access registration information unless he types in the previously registered login (user’s e-mail) and password. The user should, therefore, be held responsible for disclosure of his password to third parties. Any user responsible for a company’s registration may change information about this company and other users associated to it. BrazilTradeNet will at no time ask, by telephone or e-mail, for the user’s login and password. We advise the user to periodically change his password so as to keep it safer. Although BrazilTradeNet uses its best efforts to protect user information, we cannot guarantee absolute safety for all information transmitted through the web and stored in our servers. Thus, the user accepts to take the risks involved when he opts to use BrazilTradeNet. Once user information has been provided and/or we have verified the user’s intention to transmit data through our systems, we will use our best efforts to keep information storage and transmission safe.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

BrazilTradeNet may occasionally update this Privacy Policy, due to legal necessities or to changes in its business systems. That’s why we advise our users to periodically check back this document so that they can keep updated on the protection of their information.
